The majority of Treatment Room services are provided on an appointment basis. At the request of a doctor or Practice Nurse, Treatment Room Nurses take blood samples, process urine and swab tests, perform ear washouts and conduct some other simple investigations.
For urgent blood tests, the Treatment Room does operate a walk-in service 08.40am - 11.30am Monday to Friday. Take a numbered token from outside the Treatment Room and wait for your number to be called.
Treatment Room Nurses also deal with minor injuries, leg ulcers, dressings and post-operative stitch removal. If you are in need of these services, please book an appointment with Reception; it is not necessary to see a doctor first.
Cervical smears and childhood immunisations are also delivered by Treatment Room Nurses. Appointments can be booked with Reception; again it is not necessary to see a doctor first.
The Treatment Room offers appointments for NHS travel immunisations on Thursday afternoons. Appointments can be booked at Reception.
