If you are preparing for a pregnancy, then any of the doctors will be happy to give pre-pregnancy advice.
If you are pregnant you should book an appointment with the midwife preferably by coming to their office in the health centre (so that you can also pick up an information pack), or by phoning the midwives clerk on 0117 902 7103.
Most of the antenatal care is undertaken by the midwives, in liaison with the GPs.
You can book for delivery at St.Michaels or Southmead Hospital, and the community midwives are happy to support home deliveries in low risk pregnancies.
Postnatal care is also undertaken by the midwives, in liaison with the GPs. The GPs offer a post-natal check 6 weeks after delivery.
