Research at CKMP:

Our Practice has been participating in high quality research activity for many years. We are working to increase the number of our patients recruited into National Institute for Health Research studies. This work provides an opportunity for more patients to be involved in research and ensure our patient population is represented in research evidence informing clinical guidance and best practice. Please ask to speak to the practice manager if you wish to know more.

Our Practice is an ideal and unique place due to its significant size and the variety of patient ethnicities. We would really like to encourage our patients to embrace the opportunity offered at our Practice to participate in high quality research.

  • We have recently recruited patients into RENEWED2 study to support the development of a cost effective web-based intervention to improve the quality of life and long-term prospects through secondary prevention of cancer.
  • We have also recruited patients into ANTLER study with aims to investigate the use of antidepressants to prevent relapse in depression.
